Bard City presents a new version of Shakespeare’s Roman Tragedy Antony and Cleopatra – rehearsed in a week! This dynamic edit puts the actors at the core of the storytelling and focuses on the power of the ensemble. Our company of actors we will embark on our rehearsal process on Sunday 18th and present the play the following Sunday at Classic Stage.

This Shakespearean tragedy of history’s most famous lovers has fascinated audiences for centuries as it captures these larger than life leaders at the end of their reign; Cleopatra’s rule over the world through her beauty is fading while Antony is losing his grip of power over the Roman Empire. This production explores the extremes of lust, envy, betrayal, victory and loss and promises to be an exciting, alive night at the theatre.
